9 CommentsAs Bwog was passing by the Senior Dinner on South Lawn tonight, it caught sight of the waiters filling pitchers with water. With a hose. From a spigot in the ground. That’s “gray water,” right? Ew.
Just for fun, Bwog inquired. The two people guarding the entrance of the tent asserted that the same caterer has done this event for years, and he always fills water pitchers with the hose. They reasoned that, if the caterer is doing it, it it must be okay.
Bwog expresses its sincere condolences to all those with stomachaches at the end of the night.

Not only is tap water perfectly ok
if you keep your health on top than use must use some aquasana water filter techniques !
@Hold on, just so that I get this right, tap water is not up to standard in John Jay but all the other “food” in that place is. Wilma makes a damn good omelette but I’m not sure what else exactly would be up to standard for someone who won’t drink tap water.
@DHI Not only is tap water perfectly ok, but hose water is one of the most sought-after forms of tap water, because of the fresh hose taste. There’s a businessman in DC by the name of Tommy “Tbone” Moore selling Tbone’s Hose Water. The water is poured exclusively from green hoses, and comes in a bottle with a small piece of hose as the nozzle.

@mineral water from the dining hall is what i drink. tap water is below my standards.
@meh It’s just tap water. NYC tap water is better than most, coming mostly from the Catskills and Adirondacks — I drink it regularly.

@um.... I looked all over that site and couldn’t find any reason not to drink tap water:
