CCSC Debate: Not much excitement edition…

Well dressed and well rehearsed, CCSC E-board candidates strut their stuff for the final time this evening in Wien Lounge, as they debated for the second time, trying to wrangle every last vote before the moratorium on campaigning Tuesday morning.  Alidad and George, both looking dapper with slightly loosened ties, recited their stumps as a meager crowd shuffled around trays of chicken wings and curly fries, clearly more interested in gastronomy than governance.  A few interesting facts emerged, such as Donna Desilus’s revelation that “Alidad is a critical thinker.”

Mostly press and current CCSC members, the very brief question and answer period was devoted mostly to answering pragmatic problems posed by current VP Campus Life Lindsey Lazopoulos and Student Services Molly Conley.

  • That's it?Posted from campus

That’s your report of the debate? I mean, you might as well have said “There was a debate between Alidad & George”. Come on, let’s have a review of what happened for those who couldn’t attend…

i might have expected alidad to be boring, but krebs too? if not for charming faux pas, why are we voting for him?

  • hey #5Posted from campus

    …we arent voting for him

  • no...Posted from campus

    we’re not.
it is enough to take one look at krebs. he looks like some kind of ape. almost like bush.

    • hmm x 2Posted from campus

Also, it’s completely normal not to care about CCSC elections, but if you’re planning to base your decision on physical appearances, why the fuck bother voting in the first place? You’re just making it worse.

  • randomPosted from campus

no one cares who wins but the candidates themselves

  • hmmPosted from campus

…but this sounds more like “Bwog got there late” edition. Or maybe it was really that boring.

  • im votingPosted from campus

for the guy who said krebs looks like an ape. do ppl really vote/care?

  • vyiPosted from campus

I had no idea people cared this much. Weird.

  • not w/ commentariatPosted from campus

Wow! Bwog is deleting comments recommending The Commentariat’s coverage of CCSC election debates! (#2, maybe #16)

That is decidedly not legitimate or productive behavior. The Commentariat’s coverage (while usually absolutely horrendous) has simply been better for this event.

    Bwog, less censorship plz?

  • poster #2 and #16Posted from campus

Hey, I posted on #2 and #16, both censored (this is my third different computer). Anyway, why does Bwog keep censoring me? Comment #16 didn’t even mention the “C-word” (and no, it’s not dirty, it’s just another blog), and yet they still deleted the post. Why are you guys being so spastic? As a regular reader I think I – and we – deserve an answer!

Experience Columbia did not even listen, let alone answer the questions posed to them and with a little research, you’ll discover they actually do not have the better platform! I feel more passionate about them not winning than I do about Connect winning
