Every fall since its refounding, the Philolexian Society hosts a Bad Poetry contest in honor of its illustrious alumnus Alfred Joyce Kilmer, the author of the poem “Trees” and member of the Columbia College Class of 1908. All are welcome to join us in presenting and enjoying original works of grotesque verse that will be judged by members of the faculty. You may submit up to three pieces. Admission is, of course, free, and laughs are welcomed.
