The only party I've ever hosted at Il Teatro was in June 2003-- hardly anyone's definition of "not long ago"-- along with my wife, Rosemarie Haag Bletter, to celebrate not a birthday but our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. No lobster was served, but there was indeed Champagne in abundance. An amusing piece, but a tad inaccurate.
