At around noon today, an e-mail was sent out to Columbia undergrads informing them that they had not been chosen to attend Prezbo’s Fireside Chat. Regardless of having submitted their names to the lottery, those who received the notice were politely informed that they would not be able to attend. Bwog can only conclude that the TEST referred to in the subject line was successful.

Full e-mail after the jump

Dear Bwog*,

Thank you for entering the lottery to attend this month’s Fireside Chat with President Bollinger. As you know, interest in these events is high and we are unable to extend an invitation to all entrants. I regret to inform you that you were not selected by random lottery to attend this particular event.

President Bollinger will host one more Fireside Chat this academic year, so I encourage you to enter the lottery as soon as additional dates and details become available.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Sincerely,

Kevin G. Shollenberger
Dean of Student Affairs
Columbia College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science
Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Student Life, Arts and Sciences
