There's new information here that is not in Spec's coverage.
This seems to summarize bwog of 2012-2013. We loved you because you were you, bwog! Don't try to be Spec, after all, spec already is spec and we don't need another (especially a smaller, less effective copy).

Spec has done and is doing more nuanced, detailed coverage of this issue. It's definitely an important issue, but as a reader, I'm disappointed to come to Bwog and find these warmed-over casseroles of old Spec articles. Either cover different issues, or cover them in a different way--a way that only YOU, Bwog, can. Find your comparative advantage and stick to it.

agreed. while it could certainly use more money, it's the lack of administrative attention that matters. Smey is a great director of Miller Theatre--but that's a full-time job. Why is she also expected to run a program that used to have a whole staff dedicated to it? Bad form, Columbia. :(

I disagree completely with your analysis. The point of this entire article is that shitty admins who don't care about undergrads are the fundamental problem. The only solution is to organize the student body and force them to pay attention to us. If we can get them to realize that undergrads aren't just a bunch of apathetic kids who will sit by while they screw us over, I guarantee you they will find the money to support the programs we care about.
