I can see why Zizek dislikes the cover. It makes him look like the most uninvolved rioter in the world.

On the other hand, I really enjoy the idea that they had to burn a car just to stage this picture. It shows real creative commitment. In any case I will be buying the book, same as all his other works. Brilliant stuff.

I just peed myself in excitement listening to htis wonderful rendition. I am still trembling with awe as the mud was slowly removed from my eyes and I see outside of the cave. I will now spend the next several years adjusting my eyes so that I may see the light (**squirt**) and never have the need to look bakc into the dark and dank cave taht is ignorance

I know you’re speaking in some sort of dismissive hypothetical, but the fall of capitalism doesn’t necessarily mean some sort of socialist takeover/the fall of currency/etc etc etc. It could mean that the presupposition of capital, whereby C,[L] (where L=labor) always = C+1, [L-l] (where l equals the extruded labor that C+1 renders dead), can be an equation that either a) finally falls apart or b) is fundamentally reconstructed.

(This equation is basic political economy as put forward by Ricardo, Malthus, Smith, Marx, etc.)
