Your childhood fear returns to create more nightmares.

Creepy clown sightings have spread along the east coast as clowns continue to frighten communities . Clowns in North Carolina, Wisconsin and New Jersey have been seen standing near apartment buildings, public facilities, and have attempted to lure small children into the woods. A school lockdown  has occurred on Long Island after a clown sighting was reported near a high school. Other clown activity includes threats on social media sites and clowns jumping in front of cars. Donald Trump received media backlash after inciting a tweetstorm, posting malicious tweets about former Miss Universe Alicia Machado. Hillary Clinton mentioned Machado during the debate on Monday evening, highlighting Trump’s controversial past with women. Early Friday morning, Trump responded on Twitter, calling Machado “disgusting” and mentioned a “sex tape” that Machado had allegedly stared in. Clinton fired back, calling his tweets “unhinged.” (The Huffington Post)

Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres died at the age of 93. Peres was a leader that sought peace within the Israeli government. He received a Nobel Peace Prize after signing the Oslo Accords in 1993 which led to talks between Israel and Palestine. Although Israeli-Palestinian conflict still occurs today, Peres will be remembered for his idealistic work and efforts for peace. (The New York Times)

Blake Lively gave birth to her second child yesterday in Manhattan. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have had two children together while being married for the past 4 years. Taylor Swift went to the hospital to support the family as she welcomed the baby to New York. (Buzzfeed)
