Bwoglines: Ariana And Pete Are Donzo Edition

Written by

I knew it was too good to be true rip

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to accurately reflect Alqesem’s status. Her deportation has been suspended and her appeal will be heard by the Israeli Supreme Court this week.

Happening in the World: American Lara Alqesem, 22, was barred from entering Israel for being a president of a small chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Florida. The Tel Aviv district court rejected her initial appeal, but Israel’s Supreme Court has suspended her deportation and will hear her case this week.

Happening in the US: Whirlwind romance between comedian Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande came to an end this weekend, as the couple broke off their engagement with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. Sources said the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.

Happening in NYC: Violence erupted at a male-only far-right event for the Proud Boys at the Metropolitan Republican Club. After a speech by Gavin McInnes, the founder of the Proud Boys, someone began committing vandalism with swords. Three white supremacists were arrested for the crime, including founder McInnes himself. https:

Happening on Campus: There will be a Walk-to-Wellness event at Low Library from 1 to 2 PM, where participants will engage in a free, instructor-led walking program to help them incorporate more physical activity into their workday. Join your colleagues for kick-off walks featuring a group walk, dynamic stretches, and wellness swag!

Overseen/Overheard: “How is the food? Did everything come out instagramable?”

Bwog at it again - according to your own source Israel’s Supreme Court “suspended her deportation pending a discussion of the case.” Clearly she has not yet been deported, and may in fact be allowed to stay...

I’ll keep a running tally here of patently false things Bwog (or this writer Aditi Patel) say about Israel. Remember, this is just based on the sources to which Patel is linking. Maybe then things will be corrected...

See my comment here for the last instance:

    1. Bwog/Aditi Patil - based on the source provided, the student has NOT been deported from Israel. According to your own source the Israeli Supreme Court “suspended her deportation pending a discussion of the case.” Please correct this immediately.

    2. This is the second instance I have found in which Bwog/Patil has contradicted their own source. Coincidentally both times have been related to Israel, and both times the contradiction was to the detriment of Israel. Here is the first: http://bwog.com/2018/10/01/bwoglines-global-citizen-and-gender-justice-edition/

    My comment -
“Sorry, the Palestinians weren't "protesting to Hamas" (whatever that means), they were heeding Hamas' own call to protest and then threw "rocks and explosives toward Israeli troops stationed on the opposite side of the fence" according to your own source. Whoops! That doesn't fit the narrative. Better paper it over with an incoherently formulated sentence because hey, this is Bwog, so who's gonna notice?

Not sure if you lack basic reading comprehension or journalistic integrity. Correct this immediately.”

As of this post, they have not corrected their story.

    3. It bears repeating: does Bwog have any journalistic integrity? Can the author read? Are they just anti-Israel? Is this part of the Bwog-isn’t-serious-about-journalism bit? Why should anyone trust anything they put out?

  4. I guess

Ariana finally saw his face ...
