Bulletin of the Bizarre

It’s registration week again, and for all the liberal arts majors looking for yet another substance-less “interesting”-sounding class to clear that 12-point “full time student” hurdle, or a weighed down science major seeking an escape, Bwog has done the favor of combing through the mammoth Directory of Classes- er, well, we only really cared about the titles. 1. i find it hilarious

that you guys think those EE classes are amusing.

  2. shira

sorry, I don't understand why "ear training I" is funny...

    • explique

the point is to take the classes mostly out of context and display only their titles for humorous effect. I think. so ear training is funny because obviously you need ears to hear. I guess it works better for the others

  3. well

some people who study in a particular department are obviously not going to find them as amusing and will feel the need to point it out. I think these are pretty funny though, especially since they're categorized, rather than just weird titles.

  4. pms

Ignorance is gonna be great! Best Neuro class ever! Could it have been named 'Ignorance in Neuroscience'? NO! Too many words! Stuart Firestein hates words!

  5. hahaha

i find that seniors note hilarious

  6. curious

Does anyone actually know what the Deep Sea Thought class is?

  7. ...

I love how all the dumb sounding ones are at Barnard

  8. Clearly this:

Spring 2007 Cellular Molecular Biophysics G4011
    RESP COND-RES/REL PLCY ISS-DIS

    is the best....
    Can someone please translate? SEAS?

  9. dan

well, nose training? just don't think about it.

  10. Violeta

for shame, they didn't post the monster class:

    Spring 2007 East Asian W3338 section 001
    CULTRL HIST-JAPANESE MONSTERS

  11. One of my pet peeves

is when people use hyphens instead of dashes. Come on, Bwog...

  12. gah

This almost pathological self-deprecation on the part of humanities students is getting old and was never really funny.

  13. you're my hero

"can it, squirt" is my official new put-down of the day.

  14. information theory

information theory made the internet possible, among other things. probably the most significant & applicable field of the 20th century.
