that article is about stress...it seems like the only real spec hating happens on bwog

  2. Bwog,

EVERYONE drinks on the job at Spec. Enter that office any weekday night and I guarantee you'll find beer and wine empties scattered throughout all the department offices.

I removed that link because it's outdated/we're not tryna hate. Good calls, all.

    • Oh Bwog, again

It's good that you're receptive to criticism. Even so, I think it's pretty bad form that you guys regularly alter stories/take down links/etc. without including an easily visible correction notice pointing out the change on the original post. Making readers search for correction explanations is sloppy, and you guys are better than that.

My bad, but we almost always include a strikethrough when something is updated or changed to make it clear to everyone. Since the link was not actually part of a story or larger article, I removed it, but next time I'll include strikethrough text as usual. If you see any factual inaccuracies in our stories, please point them out, but I think you'll see that updates and changes are usually pretty clearly highlighted. Good calls, though, on both counts.

  4. GENTRIFICATION?! OH STOP YOUR WHINING

GENTRIFICATION = GOOD FOR NEW YORK CITY.

Now, I doubt anyone will even want to spend that much money on a condo in essentially Harlem, especially in this economy, but at least we're MAKING PROGRESS.

Why don't these poor community people, who obviously have more money than me if they can afford $1200 assault rifles (read the Gothamist article about the NYPD weapons crackdown) and go around shooting people for drug money. Why don't these shmucks get off their lazy ass, get an education, stop working minimum wage jobs, and actually try to support themselves?

Heck, I started working $10/hr jobs when I was 12. Then when I became 16 and could drive cars with a 21 year old sitting by me, I began working $20/hr for an intense furniture moving company. My parents came to the States penniless. YOU WORK YOUR WAY UP.

Gentrification? Stop complaining. Stop buying guns and drugs. Spend your money on community college course credits and move on up.

IM SICK OF THIS ANTI-GENTRIFICATION BULLSHIT. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE.
