Buy yo lover some veggies this Valentine’s Day

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s never too early to be thinking about what to get that special someone. Nothing says “I care about you… and my community” like some locally made candies! Or, if love’s not your scene, stop by to get some ingredients for your Mardi Gras feast (Furnald kitchens here we come!). As always, the greenmarket is open year-round on Sundays and Thursdays and accepts credit, debit, and EBT.

There is food scrap collection for compost every Sunday, from 8am to 1pm, and textile recycling every Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

Here are some highlights for today:

  • February is a sweet and spicy month! Whether you’re looking for some local sweets for your Valentine, apples for the apple of your eye or sausage, veggies and hot sauce for Mardi Gras jambalaya, we’ve got it at the Columbia Greenmarket.
  • Sign up for our Refer-A-Friend program and help us grow the market and be eligible to win prizes! Stop by the information tent to pick up referral cards for your friends, neighbors, colleagues and roommates. They’ll receive a cup of tasty, hot apple cider when they bring your referral card to the market, and you’ll be automatically entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card!
