Good morning. Starting to get the hang of things? Remember, keep emailing tips@bwog.com with stories, overheards, desperate pleas for roommate advice. Keep on rocking.

Today’s Highlights:

  • Individual Advising Sessions, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. The advice just keeps coming. All day long.
  • TVC Group Advising Session, 9-11 a.m. “The best way to start the day is with good advice.” We couldn’t agree more, writers of the NSOP schedule book. That’s why you’re reading this post, isn’t it?
  • Academic Resources Fair, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. It’s never too early to start milking all you can out of Columbia. But really, the sooner you learn the actual opportunities available to you, the better. Take what’s being given to you.
  • Community Forum, 8-10 p.m. Or, where you cover Alma from head to toe with glow bracelets/necklaces and take selfies with your new BFFLs.

One Thing To Do Before Graduating:

Logon Donovan: Make an effort to get to know at least one new person in each of your classes. Go get coffee or tea or whatever they drink. It’s so easy to go to class every day and sit next to the same people and not even know their name. Especially in engineering where all of your classes are with the same people.

Know Your Alums:

Let’s keep listing the celebs:  Anna Paquin, both Gyllenhaals, and the far-superior-to-James-Franco Joseph Gordon-Levitt. None of them may have actually graduated from Columbia, but they were once on this campus, just like you.
