Columbia Remembers 9/11
Written by Bwog Staff
Like everyone already noticed, the Columbia University College Republicans have once again brought the 9/11 Never Forget Project to campus. Students gathered last night to place flags in the grass along College Walk. The 2,997 flags commemorate the lives tragically lost twelve years ago. The University also flew the two main flags on campus (the American flag and the University flag) at half mast in remembrance.
As most of you rightfully didn’t notice, amid this day of reflection are fresh accusations: apparently the FBI was informed that three Columbia students have been “recruited to wear explosives-laden suicide vests” in a plot to bomb a New York airport. The plot also apparently involves taxi drivers, or at least people dressed as taxi drivers. We’re pretty sure this isn’t true, but of course if you have any information about impending terrorist attacks, e-mail [email protected] before you go to the proper authorities!
