Sweet Potato Casserole:
- 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes may substitute with 1 large and 1 small can, mashed
- 3/4 stick of butter, melted
- 1 small can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
Ingredients for Topping:
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1 cup crushed pecans
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 stick butter, melted
The Part That You Are Likely to Mess Up
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees (that’s Fahrenheit all of you nerds). Mix all of the casserole ingredients, and pour into a 9×13 baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes. For the topping, mix the topping ingredients (melting the butter first, duh) and spread over the casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for an additional 15 minutes.
