All Weekend:

• The Barnard Dances 9th season allows dancers to get experiences with real world choreographers in a real theatre.  This year the pieces were choreographed by four different world-class artists.  Performances are Thursday and Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.  For $20 with CUID, you have the chance to not only support your classmates but also see dance created by cutting-edge choreographers.  Plus, you’ll get the excuse to go downtown to New York Live Arts.
• Grieving for Fish, a NOMADS production opens this weekend.  Written by Columbia’s Elyse Pitock, this play explores the mental health obstacles of being a first year at Columbia.  The show runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8pm in the Glicker Milstein Theatre.

All Weekend continued:

• Orchesis’s fall show runs this weekend in Roone.  This year’s theme?  Man in the Mirrorchesis.  So get your Micheal Jackson on and head to Roone this weekend Friday at 10:30pm or Sunday at 8:30pm.  Tickets are $7 with CUID.
• The Barnard Theatre Department is presenting the wonderfully German play, Katzelmacher, in the line of anti-theatre.  Confused?  Well then buy at ticket for $5 with CUID and see the show Thursday and Friday at 8pm, or Saturday at 2pm and 8pm in the Minor Latham Playhouse.
• CU Players presents The Maids by Jean Genet.  With a character named Solange Knowles and a plot about fantasy, eroticism, and love, it’s definitely something to check out.  You can catch this play in The Lerner Black Box Thursday and Friday at 8pm, and Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.  $5 with CUID.
• Columbia Ballet Collaborative fall performances will take place downtown this year at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Friday and Saturday at 8pm.  CBC will be performing pieces by six different choreographers.  Take advantage of CBC’s opportunity to get you off campus for only $10!

Thursday:

•  Miller Theatre is giving us another free event!  Thursday at 7:30pm, the Center for Jazz Studies presents a concert featuring works for big band by Billy Strayhorn.  The event is free but requires an RSVP.

Friday:

•  OPS is bringing some laughter to campus with stand-up comedian Saad Haroon at 7:30pm in the Millicent McIntosh Dining Room on the second floor of the Diana.  Tickets are $10 with CUID.

Saturday:

•  Miller Theatre presents the Aaron Diehl Trio at 8pm as a part of the Jazz Series.  As always, tickets are $7 with CUID.
