It’s Friday morning! Let today’s Bwoglines carry you from slumber and into the weekend.

Happening in the World: On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was indicted on charges of bribery and fraud. This is the first time a sitting Israeli Prime Minister has been charged with a crime. (Guardian)

Happening in the US: Last night, Tesla unveiled plans for the company’s first electric pickup truck. Elon Musk has referred to the model as “the Cybertruck,” and has said that it will have both “crazy torque” and the same acceleration ability as a Porche. It’s weird looking. (NYT)

Happening in NYC: NY Governor Andrew Cuomo dealt a blow to birds and bird-lovers everywhere on Wednesday, when he rejected a proposed bill that would have created regulations for avian-friendly building design across the state of New York. (Gothamist)

Happening on Campus: Stop by NoCo from 1-3:30 pm today to watch a screening of Change the Subject: Libraries, Labels, and Activism. The documentary is about a group of Dartmouth students campaigning to change subject headings in the Library of Congress from “illegal aliens” to “undocumented immigrants.” There’ll be a Q&A with members of the film team, as well as a related town hall discussion in Butler Library afterward.

Interesting thing I read this week: An NYT article about how museums are reevaluating Gauguin’s legacy and, in some cases, changing the way they present his work.
