Looking for somewhere free to take your date this Valentine’s Day? Bwog’s ranking of the most romantic dining halls is here to save the day!

5. Ferris

Crowded. Cramped. Confusing. Ferris is by far the least romantic of the dining halls. Its loud ambiance makes it impossible to have a conversation without screaming. And, as seating is hard to come by, you and your date will probably be sharing a meal with extremely loud strangers. But, with Hershey’s kisses at the door, you have a valid excuse to offer your date a kiss!

4. John Jay

Long lines and long tables make John Jay a questionable date spot. You and your date will either lose each other in the immeasurable tide of students or spend an uncomfortable amount of time waiting for (delicious) green bowls. In the warmer months, seating outside will make your date incredibly romantic, but in the winter, be ready to share your table with 4-6 strangers.

3. JJ’s

Cozy and loud in the best way, JJ’s is the place for a meal either before or after heading out for the evening. With fun music and amazing food, you and your date are sure to have a good time at any given time! However, watch out for long lines and events: the underground space can get packed very fast.

2. Hewitt

Home of Barnard students, Hewitt’s bright and clean space makes it a great date spot. The small tables and (mostly) short lines ensure you and your date will have ample time to get to know each other, whilst sharing a delicious waffle or maybe a plate of lemon tarts.

1. Diana

Those red chairs and tables mean one thing only: romance! Diana is well known for its amazing food selection but did you know it has been scientifically proven to be the most romantic of all dining halls? With its wide, gorgeous windows, its atmosphere is light and fun. Diana is the dining hall made for falling in love. I guarantee.
