On Day 4 of Columbia’s housing lottery, we said goodbye to singles in many senior favorites and set the stage for a Hunger Games-style competition over the remaining suites.
Today was Day 4 of Columbia’s housing lottery, and for some reason, a corridor-style single was the place to be. While 2–4-person suites have predictably been a hot commodity this lottery cycle, it was Nuss singles that took the cake today, with seniors selecting into all 45. It was a big day for people who love bagels, boba, and living AC-free.

Looking Ahead
The housing lottery will continue tomorrow (and for so long after that). Seniors are expected to finish selecting very soon, making room for mixed-year junior/senior groups and all juniors in the coming days. As the seniors wrap up their selections, suites of all sizes (but especially 2-person and 4-person suites) are becoming increasingly scarce, so expect some fierce competition in the coming days if you’re trying to fill one of those coveted spaces.
