Get out of your dorm. Not just to study.
Bwog hates hustle culture, we want to have more fun! And challenge ourselves in productive ways. Here are some goals we have for the semester that are primarily focused on enjoying life.
- Go swimming during free swim at the Uris pool
- Go to the Dodge sauna
- Go to at least two lectures or random events on topics you know nothing about from the Columbia events calendar
- Go to the barnard greenhouse
- Ask a favor during office hours that you know will be refused (if they have a cat can you visit it, etc.)
- Go to whatever housing you want next year and knock and ask for a tour
- Spend more time at the barnard design center!
- Go to the coney island aquarium—free on Wednesdays after 3pm
- Go to the central park zoo – go to the grand bazaar or artist and fleas flea market
- Drink more cappuccinos
- Take the Roosevelt island tram
- Go to the west side highway rocks
- Hex & Co. with friends!
- Brew mead in my room
- Do well in a class I fear is outside my comfort level! (orgo)
- Take in nature more often
- KGB bar with friends
- Run into one of the Columbia celebrities
- Be a really good TA!!!
- Keep all my plants alive
- Never go to a dining hall
- Actually sit on Barnard’s lawn
- Not get winded going up the Hamilton or Milbank stairs at least once
- Declare something (not a major just a thought or feeling)
