Happening in NYC: A proposed redesign of 2nd Avenue’s bus and bike lanes would provide more room and faster commutes, says the Department of Transportation Commissioner. Although the plan is not finalized, the draft suggests widening the bike lane from six to 10 feet. The bus lane would be moved one lane over and given that space all day, rather than just during rush hour. (Gothamist)
