The guaranteed list is looking real good right now! Throw your hat in the ring and let the housing gods (aka ResLife) decide your fate for next year…

Today is officially the end of Barnard’s 123 housing lottery, aka the friend group destroyer. Day 5 out of 5 saw all the remaining rising sophomores nab their rooms for next year, with the rest of the housing groups all switched over to the guaranteed list. Many with selection times today went and opted for the guaranteed list (there is hope to get a single, just manifest it!), and some also chose not to pick at all. But hey, just remember—you could end up in a single in the Quad via the guaranteed list (and get the use of Lewis Parlour, pictured above, 24/7) and all will be well :).

What’s gone: The last remaining doubles in 110, 620, Hewitt, Cathedral Gardens, Plimpton, and Elliot were all nabbed today. Also the scarce few remaining triples in 110 too!

What’s left: Nothing!!

Looking ahead: Fear not though—if the housing lottery did you dirty this year then you aren’t in as rough shape as you may think! The deadline to submit the guaranteed list form is April 10th at 1 pm! Also, if you wish to brave the wider world out there like me, then make sure you cancel your Barnard housing by May 2 to not incur any nasty fees! Congrats to those who sorted their housing today and if you didn’t: I believe in you. 

Good luck with the guaranteed list folks! As a transfer like myself, just be thankful you can even be housed for next year and not have to brave the NYC rental market like I do xx.
