Congratulations to the newly admitted members of the Class of 2029!
At 5:54 pm ET on Saturday, December 14, Barnard released its early decision results for the incoming Class of 2029.
On December 16, Barnard posted admissions statistics to their LinkedIn page. They stated that 96% of accepted students were in the top 10% of their class. Students were accepted from 393 different high schools, 40 states nad territories, and 32 countries. The most represented states were California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington. Apart from the United States, the countries with the highest number of accepted students were Brazil, Canada, China and Hong Kong, and India.
Barnard wrote that 18% of admitted students will be first-generation students and that 22% of admitted students are eligible for a Pell Grant. The College did not share information on the number of applicants and accepted students or race and ethnicity demographics. Bwog will update with any further information from the College.
