Expect performances with sounds you’ve never seen and sights you’ve never heard!
Bwogline: Mechasonic, a multi-day experimental music performance, returns to Brooklyn with a wild lineup including “Instrument abuse,” “doomsex cabaret,” and “a preponderance of chickens.” Organizers call it a “sonic spectacle,” a concert featuring “so many sounds you’ve never seen” and “so many sights you’ve never heard.” The performance will take place at a fabrication studio between the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and the elevated subway tracks about a block from the Smith-Ninth Street station. There are performances at 8 pm on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, and one all-ages matinee on Sunday at 1:30 pm. (Gothamist)
Study Tip: Listen to study music with alpha waves—trust me, you’ll feel the urge to become a productivity machine. (Bonus points if you pair it with noise-canceling headphones.)
