Yay Bworts!!

Highlights:

On Friday, the Cross Country team attended the Iona Meet of Champions hosted at Van Cortlandt Park, with the women finishing in second place behind the Princeton Tigers and the men finishing third behind the Tigers and Yale Bulldogs, who tied for first place. 

The Lions showed out in the 5k with four top 10 placements. Senior Rory Clare (SEAS ‘26), placed second with a time of 17:47.30, followed by her teammates Olivia Murray (CC ‘28) with a time of 18:09.50, Leanna Johnston (CC ‘27), and Ava Malagisi (CC ‘29) with times of 18:14.90 and 18:19.00, respectively, to take spots 8-10th. 

The men took on the five mile race, with senior Edward Blaha (CC ‘26) taking ninth place with a time of 25:42.80, followed by Henry Koike-Sieira (CC ‘28) at 25:43.10. To round out the Lions’ placements was George Blaha (CC ‘26) coming in at 11th with a time of 25:43.20.
