What did your Spotify Wrapped look like this year?
Happening off-Campus: Spotify Wrapped is back, and Bad Bunny has been named the most-played artist for the fourth time! Bad Bunny earned more than 19.8 billion streams this year, making him the most streamed artist globally in 2025. He is followed by Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish. The most streamed album globally was Bad Bunny’s “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” and the most streamed song goes to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s collaboration on “Die with a Smile.” (AP News)
Happening near Campus: Former teacher and eight-year Democratic city councilman James Soloman has been elected the next mayor of Jersey City. He beat out former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey in a runoff election Tuesday night. The race was called for Soloman only 40 minutes after the polls closed and with only 20 percent of the votes counted. He plans to make Jersey City more affordable, especially when it comes to housing. During his campaign, Soloman put forth a housing plan that he argued would favor the working class and lower- and middle-income families. Another part of his platform included a mandatory 20% set-aside for income-restricted housing in all new developments. (Gothamist)
