Happening Off Campus: It’s currently the first weekend of Coachella! Thousands are gathering in Indio, California and bracing the heat of the desert. From Sabrina Carpenter to Central Cee, an array of artists of different genres have gathered to perform. Next weekend, April 17 to April 19, will be the last of the Coachella performances. Happening Near Campus: A man wielding a machete attacked three people at the Grand Central subway station on Saturday morning. The attacker, Anthony Griffin, was shot and killed by the NYPD. Officer Anthony Griffin shot the man after officials repeatedly asked him to drop the weapon. With only further erratic responses received, officials attempted to deescalate the situation. All three victims were taken to the hospital, along with Griffin being pronounced dead. (Gothamist
