Happening Off-Campus: Three men were arrested in Kern County, California on Wednesday, April 8, who were accused of stealing $1 million worth of Lego toys. The men were arrested on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, conspiracy charges, and cargo theft. Only a fraction of cargo thefts are reported per year, but officials estimate that the total annual cost to be over tens of billions of dollars. (New York Times)

Happening Near Campus: Celebrate the New York Lawn Bowling Club as they celebrate their centennial! The New York Lawn Bowling Club plays just north of Sheep Meadow in Central Park, off West 69th Street. For those intrigued, the NYLBC hosts free lawn bowling clinics in Central Park every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting May 1 through mid-October. (Gothamist)
