If Bwog was the Columbia University Department of Economics, the Daily Editors would be our Sunil Gulati. They are the life-blood and literal soul-force of this organization.
What exactly comprises this very revered, particularly momentous position of “Daily Editor,” you ask? Well, Daily Editors are responsible for taking care of Bwog on one day, every week. This means writing stupidly long tags on articles, sending the lineup the day before, getting wind of all the hot breaking news, posting staff writer’s articles for their day, publishing to our social media, etc. etc. It’s an amazing position for first-years who want to be more involved in not only Bwog, but the Columbia community in general.
This year, we’re looking for seven (7) new Dailies. Wanna apply? Fill out the application below and send it to board@bwog.com by 11:59 PM, Friday, September 13 in the form of a PDF titled “*First Name* App.” For more information (and to get Bwog’s vibe and hang with us!), come to our first open meeting this Sunday, September 8 at 9 PM in Lerner 510!
Here’s the application:
