Happening in the World: Minutes before Venice’s regional council offices were flooded, right-wing parties rejected a plan to combat climate change that included provisions to replace diesel buses and fund green technology. 70% of the city has been flooded as water levels reached 1.54 meters. Happening in the US: Wanting to become Walter White, two professors at an Arkansas University were arrested after making meth in a chemistry lab. The two are facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and use of drug paraphernalia. (NBC)

Happening in New York: Former Mayor and possible 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg apologized for stop and frisk policies at a predominately Black and Hispanic church on Sunday. (CBS)

Happening on Campus: On Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the Diana Event Oval, transgender journalists Meredith Talusan and Lewis Raven Wallace will hold a talk about reporting objectively and fairly on transgender issues. You can read more about the event here.
