Welcome to Columbia, CC and SEAS Class of 2024!
Early Decision results for Columbia’s Class of 2024 were released online at 7:00 PM EST today. The Columbia Undergraduate Admissions Office canceled their annual celebratory Early Decision event today in light of the fatal incident in Morningside Park last night.
Last year, Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science received 4,461 Early Decision applications, marking the largest applicant pool in the university’s history. Undergraduate Admissions has not yet released any information regarding the incoming class, however. Bwog will update with information as we receive it.
In the meantime, congratulations to any baby lions reading this. Bwog Staff looks forward to seeing you around campus next fall.

@Anonymous Stay safe
@Anonymous Congrats!
@Anonymous Congratulations!
@Anonymous Dear ED admits,
In light of recent news, if you want to get out of your early decision contract, contact an attorney. Misrepresentation is generally valid for voiding any binding contract. It’s been over a day and Columbia STILL hasn’t released any relevant information.
@Anonymous First, Columbia is not directly involved. This was a Barnard student attacked in a city park on city property. They only helped the girl. Second, this is an active police investigation and updates were given multiple times yesterday by police and the mayor. Third, immediate response of permanent increased police presence in the area was announced.
@Anonymous Doesn’t matter. Columbia consistently represents and warrants that their campus is safe. Combined with all the suicides, that is more than enough to get out of the contract if the parents no longer feel their children will be safe at CU.
