Happening in the World: A cruise ship was quarantined off the coast of Italy last Thursday when a passenger was experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus. 100 of the 6,000 passengers on board were American. A few hours after the original scare, the woman was diagnosed with the flu and the ship’s quarantine was lifted. (NBC News)
Happening in the US: The Kansas City Chiefs won the 54th Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers in Miami Gardens last night. The Chiefs made a comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring three touchdowns, while the 49ers did not score any. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scored two of the three fourth-quarter touchdowns. This is the Chiefs’ first Super Bowl win in over fifty years. The final score was 31-20, with 21 of the Chiefs’ points scored in the last seven minutes of the fourth quarter. (CBS Sports)
Happening in NYC: Krispy Kreme will be opening six new locations, including a huge location in Times Square planning to open in May. The first new Kripsy Kreme location will open tomorrow in Midtown. (New York Daily News)
