Bwoglines: April Fools’ Edition

Even though it’s April Fools’, these Bwoglines are no joke!

Happening in the World: Prince Harry and Meghan officially began their new lives as non-royals Tuesday. The former royals will no longer use the name “Sussex Royal” and officially relinquished any royal duties (CNN).

Happening in the US: The U.S. Bureau of Prisons announced that as part of its coronavirus response plan, it will begin confining federal inmates to their cells for 14 days. The bureau holds 146,000 inmates across 122 facilities nationwide with around 10,000 inmates above the age of 60 (CBS).

Happening in New York City: Mayor De Blasio has ordered an investigation into Amazon’s firing of a warehouse worker who organized a strike at its Staten Island warehouse. The worker, Chris Smalls, organized the strike to call attention to the lack of protective measures for Amazon workers working through the Coronavirus crisis (CNBC).
