Some hopeful news out of Wuhan and some bad news on this edition of Bwoglines.

Happening in the World: China on Wednesday lifted its lockdown of Wuhan, the city where COVID-19 first began, after ten weeks. Businesses still face sluggish consumers while authorities still continue to regulate people’s comings and goings. (NYT)

Happening in the US: A 2-1 panel of the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals wiped away a lower court ruling that prevented a Texas executive order that restricts abortion access during the coronavirus pandemic from going into effect. (CNN)

Happening in NYC: The New York City Police Department lost its 12th member to coronavirus. Nearly 20% of the police force is also out sick. (CNN)
