Archeologists have recently uncovered major literary artifacts from the marshes of Europe. Dating from around 1020 C.E., the pieces were immediately hailed as the best-preserved written work and the best-written work of the medieval period.

Hear ye! Hear ye!

To the dearest lord and father, Lee Carroll, by the grace of God, king of the Morningside Hills, the Bwogge guild of Bards, his embroiled band of scribes in various degrees and trades, greetings, and deepest love.

Ever since the guild became aware of the odor of your good reputation which has spread far and wide like a sweet perfume on the one hundredth and sixteenth street and the broadest way, we have longed to make ourselves known to you at some favorable opportunity, that we might deserve through this acquaintanceship to gain your friendship. But since we see ourselves totally lacking in merit or, on chance, overabundant in it, perhaps we might somehow share yours by a communion of charity. So we thank God that, while we were harboring this wish and were eagerly looking for a way of executing it, Raginia, the Œdist in Crown (ŒIC), our mutual sister and friend in Christ, chose to enact upon your holiness, with sentiments leading our own, and advised to look for an opportunity in our regard.

We must confess to you, dearest king, that, although our bodily eyes see you seldom, we never cease to look upon you with the eyes of the spirit. These little gifts are tokens of affection and affliction but are quite unworthy of Your Holiness. Still, we gaze at your good faith leaving your silver steed on the scholars’ walk, ambulatory in nature, departing from the castle and arriving at the base of the bibliorealm. Please believe that so long as we sing in humor we shall always remember you in our prayers. We beg you by our trusted friendship to be loyal to our insignificance, but we have no faith in you. Aid to us with your prayers so that Almighty God may order our life according to His will.

But, our lord, about what you sent to us concerning your case, for which you have done ill homage to the serfs of the Morningside Hills. By their rights, the serfs of Morningside Hills denied your avarice. For the season, this case was not moving toward settlement as we desire, in which case you have asked for help with Lady Boyce amongst other learned folks. Now, however, advancement was made. Know, lord, that we are determined to help the kingdom and that we will do it willingly but shall not blindly follow the crown. During the time of the serfs, we followed by our own code in accordance with the guidance of our new Magnum Concilium: the Œdist in Crown, Raginia, the Bailiff Chancellor Heimeric of Astordeaux, and Chancellor of Liege Sofillia. Cupidity on your counts cannot be blindly endorsed. Instead, we performed and expounded the truths sired from the many serfs in revolt as they spoke ill on their condition.

May the desirable prosperity of our generosity be preserved always in Christ and the very blessed Virgin.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Seek no longer any confusion or lamentations in your plight. The Guild has, in good faith, transcribed below the truthful and honest convictions about the living presences and rooms of retirement as a part of your servitude to the Columbiad crown. Included in each thesis is the increasingly rapacious contribution from your plot to Lord Lee Carroll as you are indebted to owe. Beyond this usury, we write of the discovered blessings and vexations reported by inhabitants present and prior. Those touched by the spirit and divine muse have, wherever possible, positioned illustrations and ornamentation for the benefits of the many and to see the abode’s nature. Thus far, your curiosities are abated for the popular Eastern Quarters of those nearing the conclusion of their quaternary indenture. We humbly suggest returning within the coming fortnights for information pertaining to other housings, both of the convent school attributed to Our Lady of Barnard and those remaining of Saint Columbia’s monastery.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

God be with all who, upon their presence in the tavern of the near-gluttonous Johnathan Jay, hear the lyrics of our band which sing and play in regards for the upcoming duration of time.

To the most excellent public, by the grace of God I, bard of Alchemy, assert harmony in regards to some miraculous events prior to the upcoming Sabbath.

Behold before the venerable court magician the wonders of Roman horticulture and its combination in the studies of apothecaries from the near and far East. The assize shall commence on the steps of the Lowland amphitheater prior to sundown and run until the lunar rise. Those interested in the natural growths of foliage and their touch on good health, be merry and glad!

Later, the lord Count Valentin, whose leadership, as I see, which he expressed strongly in many presences, has worthy commendation. He shall add upon this with a demonstration of the natural world, as was his past occupation prior to this elevation to higher nobility, in relation to his leadership over the studious class and their endeavors.

Remember all that we, as a guild, are in honorable service to communicate the continued advising in regards to the looming pestilence. Any addendum to the existing course of action as advised by the doctors shall be added as soon as known. It is well-advised to maintain health however necessary and to limit the potential for the presence of the plague to manifest within. Letting treatments have been found to be unsuccessful.

The guild now transitions to hear now the Bard of Physicality, who sings with the advising of the well agile Terpsichore.

The jousting knights of the Morningside Hills shall be in a face-off with those representing the ferocious squires of other kingdoms. Such capacity shall occur at antedawn on the Morningside list field. Other hastiludes shall commence, dependent on the bands of martial game players unscathed and willing.

Upon the following daybreak at the same field, a tupinaire tournament will play out with the valiant brawn prepared for their battle. The intense wargame shall be conducted only within the presence of the healing mystics to prevent unnecessary and premature ascension to empyrean realms. Early spectators may find reward from the host in the form of new garments!

Lastly, now hear the musing of the educated Bard of the festivals, who in her grace arrive at many multitudes and attempts to express as many as she can.

This evening, the court jesters shall try their hand at their unplanned humor in various troupes. See the work and their trial towards japes of all kinds and styles within the tapestry room, open by the blessing of the high and elite nobles of Saint Anthony. A few of our very own brothers and sisters in musing shall be working towards the cachinnation of the masses.

Around the time coinciding with the holy resurrection, the Morningside Hills Feast of Fools is looking for attendants. The parody of the kingdom’s customs is a highlight of any man’s memory. The date of the performance is unannounced but remain well-tuned for the performers’ decisions. The many scribes of Saint Columbia’s monastery and Our Lady of Barnard’s convent are exceptionally observant about the many ways to display our successes and misdeeds.

The Church, in its divine wisdom, shall present within its libraries their growing vernacular collection from the inkwells of many authors across the known map. A clergy official shall lead parishioners in the exploration of this work and the understanding of the literate material.

Now go, all ye, and be merry!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

To all of the Morningside Hills, we herald the following announcement in regards to our open assize occurring during the Sabbath evening within the scriptoria. Willingly and gratefully we received the little gifts of each greeting and with God’s help, we desire to repay them worthily. To those rich in beatitudes, we consent to have that which you versed about in our prayers and communion with good spirit and pure faith towards you at the hours you suggested, incessantly.

In hearing and doing this, your faithful Guild of Bwogge, heralds of Morningside Hill, shall be present.

Goodwill, faith, and God Be With Ye.
