Are you running for student government? Why not seek out a Bwog endorsement to help your campaign!
It’s election season, which means if you’re running for student government, Bwog may endorse you!
With intent-to-run forms due soon, all four undergraduate colleges will be undergoing elections. Bwog is willing to endorse any candidate who runs, but we need to know that you’re running and what your platform is about.
If you or your party would like to be considered for a Bwog endorsement, please email editors@bwog.com by 9 pm EST on Wednesday, April 13 at 9 pm. In your email, please let us know who you are, what you’re running for, and what your availability to meet with members of Bwog’s editorial staff for around 15 minutes is like. Ideally, these meetings will take place in the evening next Sunday, April 17. In this meeting, you will have the chance to tell Bwog editors about your platform and answer any questions the staff may have. After we have concluded all meetings, the editorial staff will make a decision on which candidates we think will best represent the student body and write a post about who we are endorsing and why.
Our endorsements will be posted before elections end, with ample time for students to read up on candidates before voting.
If you have any questions, please email board@bwog.com, and feel free to check out our Spring 2021 endorsement post.
Update made on Monday, April 18 at 8:45 pm:
Do you still want the opportunity to be endorsed by Bwog? No worries! We’re extending the deadline to apply for student government endorsements to Wednesday, April 20 at 11:59 pm EST. Interviews will be held this week.
