Bwogline: WNBA star Brittney Griner has had her pre-trial detention period in Russia extended by a month starting on Friday, her lawyer has stated. This short extension seems to indicate that Griner’s case will go to trial soon. Griner, a two-time Olympic medalist who plays for the Phoenix Mercury, was detained at a Moscow airport back in February after vape cartridges containing oil derived from cannabis were allegedly found in her luggage.
