Happening in the US: Jerome Powell, Federal Reserve Chairman, revealed new information about the Federal Reserve’s upcoming strategies to fight inflation. His speech caused a dip in the stock market, with the Dow Jones down by 1.5% by the end of the day. (AP)

Happening in NYC: Five hundred drones will fly over Lower Manhattan today in an advertisement for the mobile game Candy Crush. Pixis, a Virginia-based drone events company, has used the city’s skyline in advertisements before and describes it as “an amazing canvas to work with,” but the move has been criticized. Some point out the danger it poses to public and wildlife safety. Flying drones in NYC is illegal under the Avigation Law. The company defended itself, pointing out that the drones will actually never leave New Jersey, but many are still unsatisfied with the potential dangers. (The Gothamist)
