The newest culture war talking point!
Bwogline: New York City is set to ban fossil-fuel hookups in newly constructed homes and apartment buildings, which supporters claim is necessary to reduce harmful emissions from buildings, a measure approved in 2021. The ban only applies to newly built homes, and preexisting apartments and houses can continue to install, repair, and maintain gas lines. This comes amidst the beginning of a new political talking point, with Democrats pointing out the environmental necessity, and Republicans countering with federal government overreach.
Study Tip: Every so often, get up and just be motivated to move in whatever way your body feels motivated to do. This may be the attention deficit side of me speaking, but it helps a lot to just be active in between hours of studying.
Music of the Day: I am a big Bags by Clairo fan, whether that is when studying, dancing in my room, or packing. It’s both upbeat and mellow, which makes for a good essay-writing song, and the use of ‘walking out the door with your bags’ really corresponds with when you are packing up your bags.
Procrastination Tip: Begin a new video game at the most inconvenient time and then just use that as a study reward. Warning: this may get dangerous if there is inadequate self-control.
Overseen/Overheard: My friend texted his girlfriend, “Do you want to woo-hoo tonight?” (Refer to Sims 3 and 4)
