The appointment continues a series of gun safety measures under Harris’s belt, as she announced statewide gun sweeps when she served as Attorney General of California. Happening in NYC: RoboCop is now a reality! During a press conference with the New York Police Department, Mayor Eric Adams revealed the latest recruit to the force: K5, a 420-pound behemoth measuring just 5’2”. K5 will patrol the 42nd Street Times Square subway station from midnight to 6 am with a facial camera. However, skeptics aren’t entirely convinced that it will be a success; K5 tests in other cities have been vandalized and pushed over, preventing its full ability. (Gothamist)
