Congratulations to the Early Decision Class of 2028!

Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science have officially accepted their Early Decision Classes of 2028. Decisions were released to Early Decision applicants on December 14.

The two schools received 6,009 Early Decision applications in total, a nearly 5% increase from last year and the third highest number of applications in University history.

Unlike Barnard, which released its Early Decision results last Wednesday, Columbia does not report demographic information about its incoming class until after Regular Decision results are released. In a statement to Bwog last year, a Columbia spokesperson explained, “As a matter of longstanding policy, we do not discuss our applicant pool mid-cycle, out of consideration for the thousands of students who are still working on their college applications and awaiting decisions. We do not want to participate in commentary that could confer even the slightest advantage or disadvantage to those students, perceived or otherwise, or heighten the stress that they may be feeling.” It is expected that additional information about the incoming class will be made available in the spring, after all admissions decisions have been released.

Congratulations to all newly-admitted students! Bwog is so excited to see you all on campus next semester.
