Shirin Neshat’s Land of Dreams: Screening and Discussion 

  • Tuesday, March 19, 6:30 pm, Asia Society
  • Award-winning artist and filmmaker Shirin Neshat returns to the Asia Society for a screening of her most personal film year, Land of Dreams. The film centers an Iranian immigrant working for the US Census Bureau on a mission to record citizens’ dreams.

Literary Readings & Conversation about Life & Art in Today’s Ukraine

  • Tuesday, March 19, 4 pm, International Affairs Building 1219
  • Join the Harriman Society for literary readings and a conversation with writer and poet Iryna Tsilyk. She will read some of her works and discuss the life of Ukrainian artists in a time of war.

Midday Music at Wang Pavilion

  • This Friday, the CU Music Performance Program musicians will perform a variety of works from Bach, Bottesini, Doppler, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky.

Opening Reception: Looking for Ourselves

  • Join the Wallach Art Gallery at the opening reception of the photography exhibit Looking at Ourselves: Gauri Gill’s The Americans, 2000-2007, which follows the seven years in which Gauri Gill traveled across the States tracing the experience of South Asian immigrants.

  • BTE presents this performance follows twin sisters on their journey from the Dirty South to the California Desert to get revenge on a cruel father who burned them and their mother years ago.

  • CU Gen presents a showcase of open-style choreography crafted by members, featuring several amazing on-campus groups.

The Lives of Our Times
