He clapped back at Vice President Harris’s assertion that Germany had tried and failed to give up fossil fuels, stating, “Germany’s energy system is fully operational.” He ended the tweet by rebutting Donald Trump’s comment that immigrants were eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio by saying “PS: we also don’t eat cats and dogs.” (Reuters)
Happening in the US: Sarah McBride, a state legislator from Delaware, easily won the Delaware Democratic Primary on Tuesday for the state’s only House seat. If she wins the seat, she will become the first openly transgender member of Congress. Happening in NYC: President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump are all expected at a ceremony today in New York City marking 23 years since the twin towers fell, killing 3,000 people.
