Election 2024: What’s at Stake – Domestic Policy

  • Wednesday, October 9, 2 to 3:30 pm, Interchurch Center Sockman Lounge.
  • Hosted by the Academy of Political Science, Incite Institute, and the Urban and Social Policy Program and Institute of Global Politics at SIPA, this event is the second installment of a three-part panel series about key topics for this year’s election. Hijacking Human Rights: An ISHR Student-Faculty Conversation Series

  • Join Professor Joseph Slaughter to discuss his essay “Hijacking Human Rights: Neoliberalism, the New Historiography, and the End of the Third World.” This essay focuses on outlooks on human rights in the 1970s and the forces that “facilitated a neoliberal hijacking of human rights.” Light lunch will be served to attendees.
