For the third year in a row… the Columbia Women’s Basketball team are the Ivy League Champions!

Highlights: 

On Saturday, the Columbia Women’s Basketball team swept Cornell Big Red to claim the title of Ivy League Regular Season Champions! For the first time in program history, the Lions claimed this title outright, securing their third consecutive regular season title. The Lions led for the entire game, scoring 29 points in the first quarter and maintaining a 21-point lead at the half. Senior Cecelia Collins (CC ‘25) led the charge with 21 points and 10 rebounds, earning her a double-double. To complete the Lions’ standout senior duo was Kitty Henderson (CC ‘25), who was all over the board, scoring 14 points, nine assists, three steals, and three rebounds. Both seniors were recognized at the beginning of the game for their contributions to the program. Sophomore Riley Weiss (CC ‘27) and Junior Susie Rafiu (CC’ 26) followed their seniors’ lead, scoring 16 and 10 points respectively. Rafiu also put up seven assists. First year María Arrebola (CC ‘28) scored 12 points off the bench to add to the Lion’s impressive 91 total points.  

Next week, Columbia will play in the Ivy League Tournament in Providence, Rhode Island. Go Lions!
