Happening off campus: A recent recall of more than 122,000 cases of Gatorade across 37 states, including New York was classified as a Class II recall on October 2nd, meaning exposure to the products could have medically reversible health effects. The recall remains ongoing and spans flavors such as Lemon Lime and Orange. (Gothamist)

Happening near campus: The American Chestnut tree returns to the Bronx Zoo! A total of 25 2-foot trees were planted on Monday, October 5, a big achievement for the heritage of the tree, as it went nearly extinct 100 years ago. This restoration project comes as New York is losing many of its native trees, such as the beech tree, to invasive species and disease. (Gothamist)
