Mean Girls’ Karen Smith would be thrilled to hear that there’s a Taco Bell 50k taking place in Denver, CO this weekend.

Happening off Campus: This weekend, hundreds of runners will take part in the 9th annual Taco Bell 50k in Denver, CO. The race, which is not sponsored or endorsed by Taco Bell Corp., requires all participants to eat a menu item from at least nine of the ten Taco Bells along the route, including at least one Chalupa Supreme or Crunchwrap Supreme by the fourth stop and at least one Burrito Supreme or Nachos Bell Grande by the eighth stop. Coincidentally, next Tuesday is also National Taco Day (Taco Bell 50k).

Happening near Campus: The unofficial Department of New Yorker Verification, run by Bayside-born, Roosevelt Island-raised Frank Aliquo, is now accepting applications for its “Verification by Origin” track. Upon submitting a New York City high school record and borough birth certificate (or equivalent), born-and-raised New Yorkers can get a free digital certificate and ID, denoting their status as real New Yorkers. Soon, the Department will also launch a “Verification by Experience” track, which awards the same to non-natives who’ve accumulated 1,000+ points based on experiences like “getting bed bugs, getting scabies, getting mugged, [and] waking up early to move a car for alternate-side parking“ (Gothamist).

Happening on-Campus: Today between 9 am and 5 pm, you can get your flu shot at John Jay Dining Hall. No appointment needed. See details here.

Album of the Day: Mean Girls (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
