Happening in the US: Say hello to McDonald’s newest, out-of-this-world concept, CosMc. McDonald’s announced details of its new retro-style restaurant CosMc’s which would operate in the same market segment as Starbucks. The new restaurant will feature a menu perfect for those with a sweet tooth and will include items like a Churro Frappe. The first store will open in Bolingbrook, Chicago later this month with more than 10,000 expected to open across the US by the end of 2024. (BBC)
Happening in NYC: According to a Quinnipiac University Poll released yesterday, Mayor Eric Adams has the lowest approval ratings for a NYC Mayor since the poll began in 1996. Less than one-third of New Yorkers approve of Mayor Adams’ job performance. The poll surveyed nearly 1,300 self-identified registered voters from November 30 to December 4 through live phone interviews. 58% of respondents disapprove of his performance compared to 28% that do approve.
