Yet another exciting week of sports awaits!

On Wednesday, the baseball team beat Fordham 7-3 in an exciting game. After a low-scoring first three innings, the Lions’ took the game by storm in the fourth, earning five runs. To kick it off, senior Anton Lazits (CC ‘25) doubled before Jack Kail (CC ‘26) hit a home run, earning the Lions two runs. This was followed by home runs from first-years Ben Fishel (CC ‘28) and Anthony Temesvary (CC ‘28), giving Columbia an unstoppable lead of 5-1. In the eighth inning, an exciting double steal from Lazits and Griffin Palfrey (CC ‘25) resulted in two more runs to extend the Lions’ lead.
