Of course, on the day of registration, there’s an internet outage that affects Columbia’s registration system.

Happening off-campus: Cloudflare, an internet infrastructure provider based in San Francisco, is experiencing a global outage. This outage affects ChatGPT, X, Dropbox, NJ Transit, Columbia University’s systems, and many other websites. Cloudflare says it is currently working on a fix to get services up and running again. Happening near campus: The Metropolitan Museum of Art is on its way to becoming a unionized museum. A petition for the formation of a bargaining unit was filed as the first official move in the unionization effort. The union will represent about 1,000 museum workers, one of the largest museum unions in the country. (NYT)

Happening on-campus: Join the NYPD and Columbia University’s Public Safety today in Butler Library from 11 am to 2 pm to get your electronics and bikes tattooed and registered to protect your valuables from theft. Learn more about the process here
